Mr Eazi meeting his fans – Meet & Greet

Sound check

When Jah Bless no man can curse, Zaga Dat” Mr Eazi

Mr Eazi met with 60 of his fans for a personal meet and greet where they engaged with him, took photos and had a conversation with him for roughly 2-3minutes each. He even made a blind fan’s dream come true by having a conversation with her.

Yesterday I was lucky and blessed to be involved in Mr Eazi’s – Life is Eazi Culture Fest at Roundhouse London, where I was able to go behind the scenes to bring you exactly what happened through out the event and I tell you fellow readers it is was actually one of the simplest and smooth show I have attended this year let me explain why

The sound check started on time by the early hours of the morning from 9am till 5pm before the show was about to start with all the live acts making sure the sound was right.

The doors opened at 5.15pm for the crowd and they were welcomed by Dj Selecta Maestro on the decks on stage playing classical Ghanaian songs for 20mins to keep the crowd entertained, when his set was over Dj Sawa jumped in and playing recent Ghanaian songs for another 20mins.

Eddie Kadi did an amazing job hosting the show from the start till Adesope and Dj Naija Boi took over later on in the show.

He brought his amazing jokes which kept the crowd constantly laughing and also his dance moves, even the way he introduced each acts on stage brought laughter in the crowd

The Obvious Conceptual Exhibited a cultural fashion after Dj Sawa’s set by showcasing Black women empowerment by playing famous black women quotes which was quoted by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie from Beyoncé’s song flawless the background instrumentals was Fela Adekuti’s songs which linked back to the African roots, the fashion art dance show consisted of 10 dancers wearing African prints and painted in African prints also displayed unity through the songs and also used props such as African broom and African woven baskets to still symbolise culture, this was a great message as it spoke about young women and girls to be proud of the African roots and also be comfortable in their skin no matter what society says

Dj Naija Boi and Sister Deborah graced the stage after the art fashion show and she was accompanied by two female dancers, she really took charge of the crowd by cracking jokes with them before starting to sing her 3 famous songs, firstly Ghana Jellof, secondly, Kikoliko -positivity and finally uncle ObamaShe did an exceptional job on stage and was great to see the crowd singing along to her song uncle Obama

Next on stage was a fashion show curated by Mariam Mr Eazi’s Stylist and Dj Juls playing songs that showcased her fashion which was very bold, elegant and also showcased the African culture

Dj Juls carried on to play his set for another 10mins keeping the crowd still hyped before Dencia was meant to come stage unfortunately she did not feel she was ready to go on stage, she insisted she wanted to go later on the show this created a little glitch as there was already a set order in place so now Dj P Montana had to jump on stage straight away to play his set as Dencia refused to perform her songs.

Dj P Montana played his set exceptionally well and introduced his guests Dencia, she finally came on stage after Dj P Montana’s set and sang her songs Savage and Beri Beri, she was booed off stage by the crowd because of her stage presence and no been a good singer

Moving forward Dj NaijaBoi and adesope did a phenomenal job from the dj set to the Dance competition which saw young professional dancers battle with each other, which was judged by the famous dance duo HomeGrown dancers

The dance competition was one of the best highlights of the show was it really showcased young dancers battling it out with one another showing their best skills on stage the crowds were consistently pumped throughout, the winner Dylan who brought such an amazing stage presence and wowed the audience and won £1000, he was asked what he would do with the money and was too shy and overwhelmed to answer, he finished off by showcasing his final moves to the crowd,

Next on the stage was the famous Dj Cuppy who brought Gracious K to the stage perform while she played her set, still keeping the audience dancing on their feet.

Up next after Dj Cuppy set was the duo Kwamz & Flava who performed their hit singles “Takeover, Darling, She’s on Fire” the duo got the audience dancing through out their performance.

Dj Maphorisa missed his dj set which was meant to be after Kwamz & Flava as he refused to come to the venue, the show still went full throttle without him with Biso Kdei performing after the duo Kwamz & Flava.

Biso performed “Lite, Mansa,” which again the crowd were dancing to through out his performance, up next was The world famous Dj Edu who brought songs from east Africa other parts of Africa in his mix set

The Compozers graced the stage after Dj Edu’s mix set by playing a sample of you, the lights on stage were very powerful, Adesope introduced Mr Eazi on stage while the band was playing fela style instrumentals of his songs

Mr Eazi brought the stage on fire when he stepped on wearing White and yellow custom made African print and his face half painted

Eazi sang 18 songs, he brought Wande Coal, Yungen, Eugy, Dj Spinall, Kah-Lo ft Dj Zain, Riton, Fuse Odg, each artist brought flavour to the stage and an amazing energy the crowd went crazy when he came down the stage to meet his fans and allowed them to sing to the microphone

The night ended exceptionally successful with Eazi thanking his father for coming down from Nigeria and his girlfriend, also his fans and addressing the press
